I live in Budapest, close to the city center, where it's practically impossible to take high quality deep sky astrophotos due to light pollution. Even my attempts with narrowband filters did not yield the results I was hoping for.
Thus, my main observation point is at our countryside cottage in Nagybörzsöny, on the edge of the Danube-Ipoly National Park. This place is much more suitable for astrophotography, although the conditions are far from ideal here as well. The public lighting in the village is quite distracting, but luckily, I was able to create a setup, which allows me to collect the photons from a relatively shadowy spot.
